Hi cas and PI!
I have made arrangements to be another prof's graduate student. (My decision has caused some hard feelings with my boss, which may have precipitated the unpleasant way in which I received notice.) I intend to get a PhD after the master's is completed.
blues
That's in a way nice then.
Ur story is like the other story . . 'Good luck, Bad luck, who knows' . . heard of that?
together
hey that's good to know LaRa...congrats...no worries cos all's well that ends well....so have you tried any fusion sushis yet? BB-san hasn't so I'm giving my recommendations...and PI, not yet but soon....
come together
here's the story for LaRa
Good Luck, Bad Luck. . who knows?
There is a Chinese story of a farmer who used an old horse to till his fields. One day, the horse escaped into the hills and when the farmer's neighbors sympathized with the old man over his bad luck, the farmer replied, "Bad luck? Good luck? Who knows?" A week later, the horse returned with a herd of horses from the hills and this time the neighbors congratulated the farmer on his good luck. His reply was, "Good luck? Bad luck? Who knows?"
Then, when the farmer's son was attempting to tame one of the wild horses, he fell off its back and broke his leg. Everyone thought this very bad luck. Not the farmer, whose only reaction was, "Bad luck? Good luck? Who knows?"
Some weeks later, the army marched into the village and conscripted every able-bodied youth they found there. When they saw the farmer's son with his broken leg, they let him off. Now was that good luck or bad luck?
So, cheer up!
forever

@ cas: never tried fusion sushi, but I have tried "commercial" sushi--the kind on grocery store shelves. (insert barf face, too) I imagine that is what cafeteria food must taste like in Japanese public schools.
happily ever after
I wish to try sushi outside Japan. This never came to my mind till now. But, there are good sushi places in Delhi also, PI. Why don't U check out in ur city also?
