I don't understand why no one can understand Australians? Its pretty clear for me, maybe being raised on a diet of Aussie soaps has helped
@ Casandra -Me? I'm not so busy now, I"ve been running around making small changes to the poster I thought I'd finished last week and then running around trying to find the print unit in the university (not easy when its all in kanji, my 150 I know doesn't include that one). I"ve given up and got the guys in the lab to ring them and arrange it all.
We're having a nice summery week here too.
I hope you're not too frazzled by the heat of the sun or the heat of the posts from the venting section

I never feel frazzled, Lost-san........always cool as a canuck shld be.....besides, it would be bad for my skin....gosh, I'm just thriving in my or rather our own little niche, with a few excursions here and there and then wham...a flame thrower comes my way....
....I wonder how we can add more substance to this thread tho ..oh, and you'd both understand each other's English...I just can't decide which one is worse.....
...
firefox.
Do U make those giant posters? I have done poster presentations a few times but all the time printed out in office printer - individual slides in neat A4 size papers.
Don't worry about me not understanding Australians speak. The 2 had a jolly tone - loved the way they spoke. And, I can't understand not just them but many others It was me - not their fault. They just gave that feeling like I was speaking to real Australians : Just like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0YM9Ereg2Zo
watch out for those
African Lions
What's the "what would be worse"?
Understanding the english of Aussies and Canuks? or some gentle flaming and roasting on this thread?
The first is a lost cause for most, we haven't even started on Scots english, let alone all the other varieties of english there is either:D
I think the flaming and roasting is best left for meat on BBQ's in the summer, don't you? Here should be a cool oasis of light hearted- ness and gentle humour
@Nabi-san, I'm going for the full on big poster- laminated too if I can as we have our bazooka poster tube. I used to make the A4 jigsaw puzzle, thats my fall back position.
That video is priceless...ROFL

How are your travel plans coming along? When are you off to Texas?
don't watch
it's getting horrible. Went to apply for visa yesterday and they want more documents though I had taken with me all the ones they had asked in their homepage for Italy. It will be taking quite some time now and after that for US. It's not so nice to be an ugly person from a small country
