i'm not very familiar with cancer in mammals, but as far as i knew it is due, at least partly, to abberant transcription regulation, including alterations in the methylation levels of promoters and other stuff, whereas agrobacterium tumefasciens does generate cell proliferation but not by the same mechanism. am i right?
