Words, Words, Words - it's only words (Jul/21/2009 )
dazed and confused
hey guys. i think i'm close to facing the writers blocking after my meeting last week. at the moment:
"Results section:
Parasitised plants are pretty much screwed up."
extend to 90,000 words... but don't put too much detail, don't be too vague either, don't repeat the same idea, oh yeah, try to make it sound interesting and novel... there is no way of getting this done.
dizzy
don't worry TJ...you'll overcome that...you have results so you just have to structure it, e.g. based on your research questions/hypotheses or main and most important results and not so important stuff or based on methods...many ways to do it...you just have to start....
and have a look in other theses to see how other people solved the problem...
Lizzy
hmmm...but I thought that the writers block comes after you have written halfway through the 90,000 words...not after 10 only.......courage, tj...you only have 89, 990 to go....
..we're there with you in spirit.....
Miss
after so many words it's then more a writer's cramp
Piggy
and then you end up in the hospital with the writer's puke.....
and Kermit
is the text so annoying or yucky? It's about plants...
the perfect couple
oh yeah...I guess very very exciting....
and now it's time to get busy again...what a sucky weather...enjoy your evening my darling will never win a Nobel prize in literature old dude ...sleep tight...
lock-and-key
then enjoy your work Mlle C, it helps to ignore the weather...the RH who'll never win a Pulitzer prize...
key hole
Morning all...
we are getting closer to the weekend....
hole in one
morning all!
TJ: randomly "sprinkle" the more than 37850 words of this chain game between you reslults - so you only have to write 40000 words on your own!
but why exactly 90000 words
