Cricket is probably THE quintessential English sport. In what other game can you play for up to 5 days (it used to be even longer!!!), 6 hrs a day and still not have a guaranteed winner??? Winning isn't the point, you see, it's getting out in the sunshine and having a jolly old hit with your chums.
