MGH
good morning, LiL.
GBH
Morning Dr TDD- Its snowing!
How are you?
GBS
it already started snowing? WoW! Good weather for onsen and nabe.
How was your interview and onsen?
I am doing fine. Had a good weekend. Hiked on Saturday and went to watch the autumn leaves and christmas illumination on Sunday. And, for the first time had 'wani sashimi'
team GB
The onsen was lovely! chilly wind and snow showers, but they have individual nabe pots to soak in
Ahhh the interview...well my presentation froze on my laptop half way through, but I still got offered the job.
Your hike on Saturday sounds lovely, what is "wani sashimi"?
A team
sounds like a good onsen. Does the nabe pot onsen also have fire burning under the pot? That would have been interesting.
Congratulations! So, when do you start the job? Tell us more about this. We have another reason to party. Let everyone gather, and we can have a grand one.
Wani is crocodile in Japanese; but people of Miyoshi (north Hiroshima) call sharks 'wani'. So it is shark sashimi. The town is far in the mountains and in olden days they couldnt have seafood; so the only 'fish' they could bring to their town without getting bad was shark. Apparently, shark meat lasts longer or something like that. Anyways, that's what it is. I will post the photos sometime this week.
A plan comes together
In January- so I have to move apartments and countries very soon!
Shark sashimi- interesting, crocodile would be even more interesting though
come together
In January, eh. Me too leaving in Jan. That's a coincidence. How's your next job?
Wani-sashi was also good, very different from the usual fish sashimis. It was very soft and creamy. . yeah, very creamy taste.
join up
I think I'm going to right in there from the beginning- At least I get my own techician to help us out.
How about you? Whats your plan?
I'll have to look out for Wani sashimi- I'm off to Wakayama this week
hurry up
I have no immediate plans. Go home and then see how is the weather there.
slow down
Sounds like a nice plan- relax and take it easy
