Where did U see and what context?

I saw 'W' in Ramen menu in Japan and that was supposed to mean 'double' serving. I asked 'how' and was told because they sound the same.

I haven't noticed that here- but then I'm still stuck on picture menu's as I can't read most things here. The thought of double servings makes my stomach ache- one size is large enough.

I have some questions (apologies in advance if they've been answered before).

What is ChIP? I keep reading on this here forum thingy and the only thing I've figured out that there's not FISH with it or any tomato ketchup (or salt and vinegar for that matter). tongue.gif

and is it RT-PCR for reverse transcriptase PCR and rtPCR for real-time PCR?

yours etc. etc.

may be W mean with

yes, i think so
i saw this on our fridge (underlined W + deodorizer) blush.gif

are there little balls on the points of the w?

what is the brand of refrigerator?

i suspect that the underlined w that you are referring to is the brand symbol for westinghouse.

Some abbrevs I saw in the forum and have to look up:

OMG: oh my god
GWB: a 'lame duck' politician now wink.gif
IIRC: if I recall correct
YMMV: your mileage may vary (i.e. your experience may differ)

P.S. Rt/RT-PCR I learnt as abbreviation for "reverse transcriptase PCR". Real-time I know as Q-PCR or qPCR (quantitative)
