abbreviations i can't understand - in this forum (Apr/12/2007 )

i use "bet" as an abbreviation for between...

"lol" means laugh out loud, i think it was coined originally from chat rooms way back in the mid 90s

I think PI = Principal Investigator or PI=Protease Inhibitor or PI=Private Investigator blush.gif (just kidding)
pI=isoelectric point of a protein, peptide, aminoacid
