EDTA/Heparin as antocoagulant for plasam ELISA - EDTA/Heparin as antocoagulant for plasam ELISA (Mar/06/2005 )

Comparing EDTA and Heparin as anticoagulant for plasam, which one works better in ELISA?

Why EDTA is not the preferred anticoagulant for plasma ELISA test? Or actually anticoagulant in plasam doesn't affect ELISA assay at all?

Thanks.

Hi

As EDTA provide some absorbance in ELISA due to its unstaurated system and plus it is chelator so it is usually prevented in ELISA test and can not be used.
