Hi guys

with the exception of safari (Mac, I dont have Mac with me..), My priority would be: Chrome, Explorer 8, Firefox and finally Opera.

IMHO, Opera used to be a very good browser, 5 years back. I use Chrome all the time, and only will switch to IE8 when there is any incompatibility (extreme rarely, though). I used to use firefox but not for now...

Firefox what else? ;) But the new Firefox 4 design needs some acclimatisation...

Yup, in my opinion... only available in windows 7 if I not mistaken.....

I think you can install IE 8 on vista as well.
But browser works better than Chrome at the moment.... There are times when Chrome goes out of control and tries to showcase Google products, but you can tame it.
The added advantage is not going to google.com every time you are searching for something

Overall, a quick browser and even makes your internet connection look faster.... B)

I used explorer for years...just got bored of it..that's why i want to change for something new ;)
chrome is good & also firefox...love the addon of AddThis ...

ie9 is the version that is only usable with vista and 7. ie8 is usable with xp (maybe earlier) and above.

i use safari at home and firefox 4 at work (ie8 for a specific function). my son likes firefox and chrome.

I simply use ie9...

I never understood the fuss about the browsers...
Does it really make such a big difference? Often they mention speed, but when you check the speed it comes down to being 0,1 seconds faster for example.. I dont see the point in that?

Whats for example so good about firefox or a reaso to start using firefox?
Esp for people that use the internet only to check basic stuff and read papers? I know that maybe for specialists (that need certain programs and like HTML5 Forms etc.. it can be usefull, but really , how many people need those things?)

To me it sounds a bit like the "mac" hype where a lot of people buy a mac, but really dont need it....
(by this I mean: they are well served with a a lot cheaper standard laptop)
