Hi everybody;
I was wondering if anybody gives me some info about amplifying of genes before PCR was discovered. If there is anybody knowing this, I do appreciate if s/he gives me some hand. Thanks in advance.

library screening, cloning into plasmids, amplifying in bacteria etc...
Can you imagine how life in a lab was before there were restriction enzymes available....
