peptide mapping - (Sep/11/2005 )

hi!
can any1 give the protocol for peptide mapping

-dhanu_609-

You mean biopanning? Affinity-screening of phage-displayed peptide libraries?
Paper is called Felici F et al 1995 Biotech Ann Rev 1, 149-183

-Alesia-

its actually peptide mapping of an enzyme.by the way what is biopanning?

-dhanu_609-

Do you mean epitope mapping with synthetic peptides like the PEPSCAN method?

-jadefalcon-

no its not epitope mapping.enzyme is used as a sample and its peptide map is generated, fragmentation of the desired protein, separation of resulting peptides and their identification by running it on a chromatography.

I know this post is about a month old, but if you are still searching.....the Salk institute has a link with a basic protocol
