GST-recomb-fusion-protein antibody - antibody against gst-fusion protein (Aug/29/2005 )

Hi,

I am trying to make antibody against my recombinant GST-fusion protein. Should I remove the GST tag from my peptide before antibody preparation, or is it ok to have the GST tag, and remove the anti-gst later? Which one works better?
Thanks for your suggestions.

of course you should remove the GST tag before you make antibody to it.you know the GST is mass weight molecular. if you do not remove ,the antibody you make will have much lower efficiency. so you should spend more time puring your target protein, for instant using the Xa factor to remove the GST tag.
