Stripping Buffer Solution - Stripping Buffer Solution (Aug/25/2005 )

I am looking for a Western blot stripping buffer to use that does not require heat. I presently use a pre-made buffer from Pierce that does not require heat, just constant agitation. I am hoping someone knows of a buffer similar.

Thank You

You could try 0.15 M NaCl, 0.01M Tris-Cl (pH7.4) containing 3%(v/v) NP40. Agitate at 4C for 2 hours. Has worked for me before.

I kid you not, you can just let your membrane dry overnight at RT (yes dry!) and it is stripped. Works for me!
