DNA extraction from plants - DNA extraction from embryogenic callus of larch and spruce (Mar/24/2002 )

I am trying to isolate genomic DNA for PCR from embryogenic calli or larcha and sitka spruce. Does anybody have a good method for this, or know where I could get one??

People in the lab just beside mine have solved a similar problem. They used a FastPrep instrument. It is a bead crushing machine. they are loading their sample, and within sconds, they lyse their plant tissues. then a classical DNA purification method works perfectly !
