dna isolated problem - (Aug/02/2005 )

[attachment=125:attachment][attachment=125:attachment]hello. i attached here a picture of a bad electrophoresis of dna sample isolated from 300ul or less of whole blood which i collected a day or a night before the actual extraction but kept at room temperature only.

I dont get nice agarose gel bands >50 bp and there is something wrong with the appearance of migration. Do you think pH of buffer is one problem? HOw about protein contamination and dna degradation? The migration of the sample is unusual in a sense that it is "streaky", not smeary but "streaky" where the sample assumes a brush appearance. I changed the buffer and yet, it still appear. I store my dna isolated at 8 C.

Are those dilutions of your sample on the gel?
