Problem with PicoGreen results - (Jul/25/2005 )

Hi there……to all wonderful Picogreen users...

I am trying to quantify dsDNA using Picogreen assay and I am having hard time getting a meaningful results from my microplate reader.... the results I am getting from microplate readers are conflicting with the gel results.... any comments/suggestions would be highly appreciated..

Do you get accurate results if you use highly purified control DNA? If not then I would suggest that your plate reader is in poor shape, else you have a contaminant problem with your sample DNA.
