ds-RNA - DNA instead of dsRNA (Jun/30/2005 )

I'm trying to get dsRNA from cryphonectria parasitica hypovirulent strains but instead of dsRNA I got DNA. I'm using phenol saturated with tris pH 8'0, is this critical? Should I use phenol pH 4,5? I'm using the protocol from morris and doods with slightly modifications but I'm not getting good results. What is the amount of CF11 I should use.
I would like to contact with someone that works with dsRNA.
Thank you very much

hi
pH is case sensitive in separation of type of Nucleic acid.
Ph = 8 is for DNA extraction and ph=4.5 is for RNA extraction...
for others questions, i do not work with dsRNA. sorry
