How many times for a run -real time pcr - (Jun/15/2005 )

It says that each run should be done at least 6 times. Is this correct? I have searched for the pubmed but it does not say any specific about this. Do you know any good articles about it?

Thanks!

Dear searcher,

Do you mean runing real-time PCR?
Since you have been asking real-time PCR question frequently, I assume that you are asking about real-time PCR.

Actually it depend on the purpose and design of your experiment. If you are doing a screening of samples you don't have to run 6 times. all you nedd is replicate.
If you want to prove some theory, I will always get at least 3 biological samples, and run replicate for each biological samples. That end up with 6 time.

Hadrian.
