How to prevent membrane bound receptor from endocytosis - (May/31/2005 )

Hi,

I have a question about receptor endocytosis. How can I prevent the receptor from endocytosis upon ligand binding? Is there any chemical I can use? Thanks a lot.

I believe sodium azide is an effective inhibitor of ligand mediated internalization. Also putting your cells on ice should do the trick.
