Does DMSO destroy RNase?? - (May/23/2005 )

Hi, I have looked everywhere but can't find out if DMSO destroys RNase and if so at what concentration? I am testing DMSO solutions under RNase free conditions so they need to be clear of RNAse!

I have one protocol that uses RNase A in 70% DMSO.

! So obviously my DMSO solutions aren't RNAse free! I however use between 90 and 100% DMSO for those solutions... probably still doesn't destroy RNase though.
