DNA not entering the gel - (May/13/2005 )

Hi,
some time ago I sent a message asking for an advice on why some of my digested DNA stays in the wells and does not enter the gel. This time I am able to attach a picture illustrating my point. I hope the picture is visible.

Thanks,

Anetta

There is no picture !!

Anyway, check your electrophoresis system, if the apparatus works well or not. sometimes, there is a bad contact between the fine wire and the electrodes !!

after the apparatus is switched on, verify if you see an air bubbles which get from the bottom up to the top as signe of current running.
