1% formaldehyde gel bands - (Apr/01/2005 )

Hi,

I've run a formaldehyde gel after an RNA extraction, and get bands corresponding to 1.8, 2.4 and 3.9kb. I know that the 1.8kb band is 18S rRNA, but what could the other 2 be? Please help!!! Thanks!

normally the 28S band should be on your gel and give a 2fold greater intensity as the 18S band. For the third band... no really good idea.
