Removal of Rna from plasmid prep - (May/17/2002 )

Hi, just few queries:

Is there an easier way of removing Rna from your plasmid prep which will is to be used for sequencing? can i just add Rnase and let the reaction tube sit for abt 30 min at room temperature? Does Rna contamination affects sequencing results, and how abt the Rnase added to degrade the Rna, will it affect the sequencing result?

Thanks in advance

My suggestion is- don't bother. RNA interferes, but not all that much. Don't add an enzyme you can't even inactivate by autoclaving
