microtiter plate - (Mar/11/2005 )

when i measure the protein concentration using a microtiter plate. should i have the plate covered with its lid when i put it in the microplate reader to measure the OD?

thanks.

if the lid's diaphanous for the wavelength(s) you use, there should be no problem, since the lid covers all wells (standard as well as sample wells), so there would be a factor, but applied to all wells equally.

I personally prefer to measure ELISA-plates without the lid thogh. gives me a better feeling, but I can't really rationally explain this.blink.gif
