Size of Antibodies - (Feb/17/2005 )

Hi,

This is my first post on this site, and you will have to excise my ignorange as I am an engineer, and not a biologist.

I am looking at membranes for immunoisolation, and wishing to generate computer models to determine diffusion of antibodies through such membranes. Unfortunatly I have not been able to find any information which identifies the physical size of human antibodies. If someone could point me in the right direction, or pass on any data or relevance, it would be much appreciated - even if it's just to tell me that no-one has any idea about antibody sizes in these terms.

Thanks.

I am thinking you might want to start looking at some papers where people did crystallization experiments. Search in PubMed for various studies especially those by McPherson A and Harris LJ.
