To detect the DNA contamination in RNA - (Jan/07/2009 )

I did DNase treatment for my total RNA sample. I want to know if there is still a lot DNA contamination. Can I use RNA, say 1ul, for template to run a PCR (my primers don't span an intron). Is there is possibility to get amplification from RNA with regular dNTPs and Taq? Thanks for any suggestions.

Taq doesn't recognize RNA, so if the DNase worked, you should get no signal.

Thanks a lot. The treatment was pretty good when I check it with PCR
