Naming of miRNA - (Dec/10/2008 )

Why are there some miRNAs with an asterisk, e.g. hsa-miR-629 and hsa-miR-629*? what's the difference between the two?

Also, what's the naming system of miRNA? Are they named in the order of their discovery, or by random?
