loading control - (Nov/11/2008 )

Hi all,

I am looking at the expression level of transcription factors. I have been using muclear extraction kit from Pierce to extract proteins from nuclei. Do you think that beta-actin can still be used for loading control? As I have read papers which discovered G-actin and F-actin exist in the nuclei.

We use H3 (histone), PCNA or Lamin A/C. Nobody in our lab uses beta-actin as a nuclear loading control.
