monoclonal antibody (mAb), mouse, IgG2a - Urgent (Nov/04/2008 )

Hi,

I have monoclonal antibody (mAb), mouse, IgG2a what is the sutible secondary Ab for this type of Ab.

-Nadine.-

What's your monoclonal antibody's antigen?

A suitable secondary antibody could be another monoclonal raised against the same antigen or could be a polyclonal, say rabbit. If the rabbit poly was conjugated to HRP, there would be a working ELISA model.

Or else you could use a third antibody raised against rabbit antibody as the detection conjugate.

Is that waht you were after?

it is dsRNA Antibody.

Hopefully if 3rd ab is used it does not cross react against the capture ab.

And, if only 2 abs used the detection (conj) ab also does not cross react against the first.

You should be able to test them using proper controls. Mabs should be specific and not have this problem.
