can shRNA expression set share one polyA terminator with other gene - (Oct/27/2008 )

I want to insert a shRNA expression set U6-shRNA-polyA into a vecotor , and the expected consturction is
CMV-gene1- U6-shRNA-polyA, in which gene1 and shRNA will share a single polyA terminator, do anyone know whether the shRNA and gene1 can express well?

If you are going to have this as a lentivirus, then I think it will work, as long as the polyA is outside of the LTRs. For non-lentivirus, I'm not sure, I would guess that it would not work.

Thank you for your information,i think i should change to another vector containing more enzyme site for me to insert gene of interest.
