about 10 years ago I did my last purification using Qiagen Ni2+ chelating matrix to enrich (some say "to purify") His-tagged proteins; now I have to re-start but technolgy went on; I remember using harsh denaturizing conditions;
are there currently more harmless methods available to exploit His6-tags for protein enrichment? what do you use?

We still use the qiagen products for his-purification.
