N-myc and C-myc Abs - HELP ! (Oct/19/2008 )

Hi,

I'm tying to WB endogenous N-myc and C-myc in mice cells with NO success. angry.gif

I tried SC-40 (E910) for C-MYC (1:200) and Calbiochem OP13 (1:200) for N-myc in 30ug of protein (ON 4C).

Can anybody recommended a GOOD Ab ? for both WB and Super-shift assay ?

Can you also recommend a good positive control ? (NOT Over expression)

THNAKS !!! blush.gif

Am not so sure about the Santa Cruz Ab, although 9E10 should not be a problem. You sure it is due to the Ab and not your samples or other problems with WB? What about 2nd Ab? Not enough protein loaded, maybe?

Anti-Myc from Upstate is also good for us, and 9E10 works quite well. But I always work with tagged proteins though. Check the product sheet for those Ab that you have. Surely they show WB results? Can look for those as controls of your Ab. Try using other housekeeping proteins as your sample controls
