First strand cDNA synthesis for qRT-PCR - (Sep/28/2008 )

Hi,

This is the first time that I will be peforming qRT-PCR.

I will be carrying out a two-step qRT-PCR, which involve the first step of first strand cDNA synthesis.

I come across two kit which is the "Transcriptor First Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit" and "1st Strand cDNA Synthesis Kit for RT-PCR
(AMV)". Both o the kit are from Roche.

Can anyone help me with the choice between these two kits?

I think you can buy either one based on price. YOu also can contact technical support to ask them what difference between them. Based on your experimental purpose to select one.
