How to: protein-DNA binding in E. coli - (Sep/16/2008 )

Hi everyone,

I'd like to perform an experimental validation of some protein-DNA interactions in E. coli. I think that a DNA footprinting assay could do the job in this case. The thing is that we don't have a wet lab to make these experiments available right now.

So I'm wondering

- does anybody know a third-party lab/service that run this kind of experiment that I could order it?

- any suggestion about other experiments to probe DNA-protein binding in E coli?

I really appreciate any suggestion,

tks,
Diogo

I would look for labs close by that do the type of experiments you think you need. Contact them, and ask if they're interested in a collaboration. Alternatively, go to a confeence and speak to people at the poster sessions about the same suggestion.

Hallo I have never done this method but I have pdf book entirelly about DNA protein interaction protocols 3,5MB in size . I have packed it and upload here for you. If there is any problem send me your mail and I will send it by mail to you
Hope it will help
