Sectioning - (Jul/22/2008 )

Hi,

Any good way to cut to form a flat piece of specimen beside microtoming? Any special techniques involved?

Thanks

freeze it

you can embed in goo and use a cryostat or simply freeze in liq nitrogen and use a razor blade (good for bits of spine as i remember)

Would there be a good manual technique? Do not have to be accurate but would just require a certain degree of flatness
