Cutting rat liver - (Jul/07/2008 )

Hi! I was wondering if anyone had any experience of cutting frozen sections of rat liver for immuno. I need some slides for controls and I only have experience of cutting brain. I am planning to freeze the livers in freezing/melting isopentane (as this is what I already do for my brains) but am not sure what temperature or thickness to try cutting at as I seem to cut my brain sections thicker and a higher temperature that what I have seen mentioned for liver.

Any words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated smile.gif

Ooh, thanks. I did do a google search but didn't come up with much. I haven't seen that search engine before it looks pretty useful :-)
