Tris HCl - (Jul/07/2008 )

Hello,
I use two different formulations of Tris-HCl when preparing my running gel and stacking gel for western blotting. How long does Tris HCl last at room temperature? I have a 1.5M Tris-HCl pH 8.8 made in 11/07 and a 1.0M Tris HCl pH 6.8 made in 2005 or 2006. Are those still good to use for gel preparation?

Thanks!

They should still be good as long as you don't see anything floating in them.

And that the bottles were securely closed. Otherwise there may have been evaporation and change in conc.
