GUS staining - (Jul/03/2008 )

Hi.
I am using GUS to study the response to hormones in transgenic plants. I have 2 different constructs DR5::GUS and ATHB8::GUS, they are GUS protein sequence under native promoter.
When I check for staining under the microscope, GUS is located in different places, in DR5 it is located in tips and in ATBH it is located in vascular system. I am probably forgeting something about basic molecular biology, but why do I see different patterns?

Thanks in advance

No idea on plant research at all, but are these the normal expression pattern of DR5 and ATHB8? That would explain.
