Micro-BCA Assay - (Jun/17/2008 )
Does anyone have any experience using the micro-BCA assay?
I am trying to detect the presence of gelatin in a solution but I also have sucrose in the solution. According to the manufacturers instructions, this will interfere with the Cu+ reaction and therefore interfere with the assay. I will be using the Test Tube method (not the microplate one) and will be looking to detect microgram levels of gelatin.
Any tips on how to fine tune the assay?? or what the effect of sucrose present could have on the assay
How much sucrose do you have in the solution?
I would suspect roughly 20mg of Sucrose and hopefully around 50mg of Gelatin (touch wood)
