DMSO in western lysis buffer - (Jun/12/2008 )
Hello
We were going to add protease inhibitor that has been resuspended in DMSO to our western blot lysis buffer. Does anyone know is DMSO ok to have in the cell lysate? or could it interfere with the western?

I wouldn't go for DMSO. I'd rather stick to my RIPA buffer for lysis. I also use Roche protease inhibitor tablets, but to be honest I'm not very satisfied. you can go for PIERCE HALT protease inhibitors.
