any big difference between PB and PBS? - (Jun/04/2008 )

I prepare 4% PFA to fix the mouse. Some protocols say it should be mixed with PBS, but the others say it should be mixed with PB.
The pH are both 7,4. But is there really a big difference between them? Thank you ver much!!!

I don't know what protocols you are looking at, but it would do good to be reminded of what PBS stands for:
Phasphate-buffered Saline

So, what you are looking at is the same thing. Check these out:

you may find a definition for PB in the context; as cellcounter says, only PBS is a commonly used abrreviation

some of the protocols may be omitting the saline.
