Stripping of dry membrane? - can we do that? (Jun/03/2008 )

hi,

I have a Pierce stripping buffer and I want to reuse my membrane after visualization with NBT/BCIP and AP buffer.

the membrane is dry, I dried it two days ago, can I still use it for stripping? or the membrane should be wet to strip?

I would wash it about 5min in PBS (or any simple unblocking washbuffer) before stripping, I guess you can't do anything wrong with that.

Very unlikely to work, unless protein of your interest lies in an area where antibodies have not bound during previous western
