RNA isolation from small amount of suspension cells - (May/27/2008 )

Dear someone,

I have another question to ask. Is it possible to obtain RNA from 1000 to 10,000 cells of isolation? I've been using 2 types of kit to isolate RNA but none were successful (TRI-Reagent & SV total RNA isolation system, Promega) wacko.gif . Is there any other kits that has given successful results for RNA isolation? Somebody told me the kit that uses beads is better for isolating RNA from small amount of cells (1000 to 10,000 cells). Is it true? plz HELP!! sad.gif

I think you can try the QIAGEN RNA kit (red box) - I'm 90% sure you can use it for low cell numbers.
