help please, RNA storage - (May/14/2008 )

Hello,

I am currently working on RNA extraction from bacteria, I need to transfer my extracted RNA to another lab what do you think I should use, should I freeze them with nitrogen, purchase special containers to storage and transfer them? any recommendations?

thanks a lot smile.gif

If just transfer from one building to another use plain ice, but if shipping use dry ice.

Do not ship it as aqueous soln. Ship it in 75% ethanol as pellet.. on dry ice..see below for more..

how far is this "other lab"?? if it's across the building there's no problem. if this other lab is in another country the best is to lyophilize and resuspend once you're going to use it again
