immunohistochemistry for FROZEN section - (May/12/2008 )

i need to perform immunohistochemistry for cartilage tissue frozen section

i have some inquiries , any experience and help will be appreciated:

1. do i need fixation with formaline.
2. what about peroxidase inhhibation,,is it also needed
3. what about avidine-iodine

any special tips to be added

read a book or some protocols first

1 ) formalin is a dilution of formaldehyde generally specific to parrafin based tissue sectioning (see your other post - please dont double post - it gets confusing)
2 ) no not really
3 ) avidin / biotin ? depends on the strenght of your primary antibody
