Silane or Poli-l-lysine - (May/07/2008 )

Hi guys.

I need to fix mouse 4-cell embryos and blastocysts onto slides. I always hear about poli-l-lysine, but in my new lab there is silane.
Can I use silane instead of polilysine?

What the diference between them? I've already heard about silane toxicity.

thank you

Check if the silane treatment introduces reaction groups like NH2 to the glass surface.
