DNA extraction for DNA laddering - (May/05/2008 )

Did any one use Trizol reagent to extract DNA for DNA laddering experiment to test apoptosis? One advantage is that I can extract RNA as well as DNA at the same time since my samples are limited and precious. I'm justing wondering whether it can be used or not! thanks for any comments!

AquaRNA is a single aqueous solution based reagent for extracting DNA, RNA, and proteins for PCR, array, and western plotting. It's just what you want. It does three extractions at the same time from the same sample and the protocol is very simple:

1) Lyse the sample with AquaRNA,
2) Add 1 volume isopropanol to pellet DNA/RNA and save the protein supernatant
3) Add 4 volumes of acetone to pellet proteins

You could email info@aquaplasmid.com and ask for a trial sample.
