free programme for RT-PCR quantification - free programme for RT-PCR quantification (Apr/17/2008 )

Hi everyone!
I’m looking for a program able to quantify RT-PCR bands. I know that a lot of programs are developed by well-known companies and are pretty expensive. Has anyone used a nicely working and publicly available program? thanks

Do you mean from a picture of a gel? Intenstity of bands? try ImageJ is free on-line and pretty easy to use.

Yes, Exactly those ones. I guess that this program is normalizing band according to their intensity, not only the area, right? thank you very much, I’ll have a look!

I have use Bio-Rad Quantity One basic verison (basic verison is free to download and use) for some RPA, Westrin and now PCR bands on gel.

It can do both volume and density for my purpose.
Hope it could also work for yours.
