help for immunocytochemistry - (Aug/24/2004 )
hi guys,
i'm having trouble running immunocytochemistry for UCP-2 in clonal rodent beta-cells and am not getting a signal. as UCP-2 is a mitochondrial protein, do i need to treat the cytospun cells in any particular way to help gain a signal [i.e. should i permeabilize them with triton-x???]

in addition, i currently use a peroxidase linked secondary antibody instead of a normal secondary and a streptavidin/biotin step..... is this wise?
